Machine learning can be applied to remote sensing data to infer climate-relevant information. Some selected examples include:[1]
- Mapping power grids and solar panel locations.
- Mapping building footprints.
- Pinpointing occurrences of deforestation.
- Creating an inventory of global greenhouse gas emissions.
